The Rookery Activity Center is a community center located in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. This area has one of the largest Great Blue Heron Rookeries in North America. These communal birds are known to support each other by coming together to share resources. Our work on the project included the design of a new sign system that reflects the uniqueness of the facility in a clear and refined way while contributing visually to the energy of their space and community.

For the interior room identification, we developed a comprehensive style that incorporates the brand colors and the concept of habitat, representing a sense of togetherness. Using large graphics, we further reinforced some of the messaging found throughout the building by including the logo in several of the architectural spaces, like the nest.

Fabrication by Archetype achieves the goals of each detail, such as the blending of brand colors to pull off the perfect effect.
